I'd add that acceptance criteria are optional in Scrum and can, but doesn't have to be part of the DoD. I can imagine DoD which says, among others, "acceptance criteria met or PM approves the PBI".

However, it's probably a good practice to have the acceptance criteria by default in DoD definition.
